Ohio Basketball Trip

We had a great day trip to Athens for the Ohio vs. Miami basketball game. While the game went to 3 OT's and resulted in a L for my Bobcats, it was an exciting game to watch. There was a nice crowd, as usual for Ohio, and everybody was really into the game. Just got to get that defense worked out!

The day started bright and early as we were invited by Coach Groce to watch the pre-game shoot around and practice. Coach invited Kyle and I at the Akron/Canton Ohio Bobcat Club Caravan during the summer. The boys loved meeting some of the players and getting a chance to shot some hoops on the Convo floor after practice was over. Kyle went 4 of 8, making the first 3 out of 4.

With some time to kill we hit the bookstores and had lunch before the actual game. I was selected as the Ohio Bobcat Club fan of the game so we spent some time pre-game in the Rohr Room eating their popcorn. The boys enjoyed seeing their picture in the program and on the video screens during the first media timeout.

Of course no game would be complete without a visit to see Rufus. It was a big step for Cameron, as he actually went to see him! Carter fulfilled his character foot fetish he developed at Disney by touching Rufus's foot again, just like at the football game this year. Rufus rocks. He kept the boys entertained for the entire game with is wandering antics.
